Earth and Turf 415SP stand-on topdresser branded for Independent Aeration Services

Earth & Turf MultiSpread 415SP

Top dressing is only as good as the machine that spreads it. Independent Aeration Services runs an Earth & Turf 415SP, a self-propelled stand-on topdresser built for sports fields and professional lawn care. It is the same class of equipment used on athletic fields, brought to residential and commercial lawns in Polk County.

  • Controlled 48-inch spread. A rotating expeller brush lays material down in a defined band, edge to edge, with no throw.
  • Metered depth. The belt and brush meter the compost so a quarter-inch application is a quarter inch across the whole lawn, not heavy in one spot and bare in the next.
  • Large hopper. More than 20 cubic feet per load means fewer refills and a cleaner, faster job.
  • Turf-friendly drive. Four hydraulic wheel motors and turf tires move a full load without rutting or tearing the lawn.

Why Application Technique Matters

Anyone can dump compost on a lawn. Doing it well means the material ends up in the root zone and nowhere else. A broadcast spinner or a wheelbarrow-and-rake job leaves compost on sidewalks, in the gutter, over the curb and in the flower beds, where it is wasted, looks messy and can wash into the storm drain with the next rain. The 415SP puts the product exactly where it is meant to go.

Our standard application sequence:

  1. Walk the property. We note beds, hardscape, sprinkler heads, drainage and any low or bare areas that need extra material.
  2. Core aerate first when it is part of the job. Open soil lets the compost drop straight into the holes and reach several inches down.
  3. Spread in overlapping passes. The topdresser lays each pass edge to edge so the depth is even across the whole lawn.
  4. Keep the edges clean. We stop the brush at curbs, drives, walks and beds, and blow off any material that reaches hard surfaces before we leave.
  5. Brush it in. The compost is worked down into the turf canopy so the grass blades stand back up and the material reaches the soil.

Built for Every Kind of Turf

The same setup handles a quarter-acre home lawn, a commercial property, an agricultural site or a full athletic field. Whether the job is core aeration, a COMAND top dressing, turf leveling with a sand blend, or all three on the same visit, the equipment is sized to do it properly in one trip.
